Let h be the height at which the kinetic energy will be half of its original value that means at that height remaining half is converted into potential energy .
K.E= 0.5*m*400 =200*m
at H=h,
P.E= 0.5*K.E
m*g*h=100*m
h=100/g= 10.1936 meters
