As whenbwe throw the ball upwards the maximum velocity of ball will be at its lowest point and the minimum velocity will be at its highest point because acceleration decreases when a body goes against the gravity

Acceleration due to gravity , a = - 10 m/s² [ ∵ thrown against gravity ]

Final velocity , v = 0 m/s [ ∵ stops finally ]

Apply 1st equation of motion ,

⇒ v = u + at

⇒ (0) = (30) + (-10)t

⇒ 10t = 30

⇒ t = 3 s
