here as the ball is thrown upwards the final velocity = 0

t = 8 sec

Im taking acceleration to be 10ms ( as it is thrown up the sign will be negative)

through the laws of motion

we know v = u + at

a can be considered as g

v = u+ gt

0= u + -10*8

0= u + -80

-u = -80

u= 80m/s
