Considering it is thrown upwards ,

So , it's initial velocity = 30m/s

and final velocity = 0m/s [ as the ball will stop at the highest point ]

Time = 2.5 Seconds

So , Acceleration (a) = v-u/t

=} 0-30/2.5 =} -300/25 =} -12m/s²

Now , Force = Mass x Acceleration

=} 0.4KG x -12m/s²

=} -4.8 N

So , the air resistance encountered by the ball during upward motion is -4.8 Newton or -4.8 KGm/s²
