A ball of mass 0.5kg has 100j of kinetic energy. what is the velocity of the ball ?​

0.5m {v}^{2}  = 100j

0.5 \times 0.5 \times  {v}^{2}  = 100

 {v}^{2}  = 100 \div 0.25

 {v}^{2}  = 400

v = 20

velocity of the ball is 20m/s


lydiasarteri: but how did we get 20 from 400? I know it is because the squared is the opposite of the square root but why do we use square root?
sumit456456: because we have to find the value of v and not the value of v square
