HEY DEAR....!!

-Initial K. E = 1/2 mv^2
= 1/2 x 0.5 x (5) ^2 = 6.25

- final K. E = 1/2mv^2
= 1/2 x 0.5 x (3) ^2 = 2.25

change in K. E = 4 J

Given - Mass and velocity

Find - Change in kinetic energy

Solution - The change in kinetic energy is 4 Joules.

The kinetic energy is calculated by the formula -

K.E. = 1/2*m*v².

Firstly calculate initial kinetic energy.

Initial kinetic energy = 1/2*0.5*5²

Initial kinetic energy = 6.25 Joules

Secondly, calculate the final kinetic energy.

Final kinetic energy = 1/2*0.5*3²

Final kinetic energy = 2.25 Joules

Subsequently calculating the change in kinetic energy.

Change in kinetic energy = final kinetic energy - initial kinetic energy

Change in kinetic energy = 6.25 - 2.25

Change in kinetic energy = 4 Joules.

Hence, the change in kinetic energy is 4 Joules.
