A ball of mass 150kg with a velocity of 15m/s is brought to rest by a player in 0.1second.Calculate the force acting on the hands of the player.

v=0m/s

(since the ball stops)

t=0.1 seconds

a=v-u/t

a=-15/0.1

a=-150m/s^2

force=mass x acceleration

force=150 x 150

therefore the force acting on the hands of the player is 22500 Newton and the player applies equal force in the opposite direction to stop the ball.
