Velocity of the particle = 144 km/h = 40 m/s
Impulse is the change in momentum= m(v1 - v2)
where m = 0.05 kg
v1 = 40 m/s
v2 = - 40m/s ( because it rebounces in
opposite direction)
So I = 0.05( 40 - (-40))
= 0.05 ( 80)
= 4 Ns
