Acceleration of ball is
a = (v - u) / t
= (0 - 0.5) / 0.05
= -10 m/s²

Force from Newton’s second law is

F = ma
= 0.07 kg × (-10 m/s²)
= -0.7 N

Why negative sign?
Because force on ball is in the opposite direction of motion ball. Obviously that’s how a ball can be stoppped.
