so by

v=u + at,

0=u-10(3)

so u=30 m/s

max height = 30(3) - 0.5(10)(9)= 90-45 = 45 m

4s is 1s after it reached the top.

s=0+0.5(10)(1)= 5 m

so height from ground is 40 m
