A ball with an initial velocity of 5 m/s moves in a straight line under a constant
acceleration. Three seconds later, its velocity is 15 m/s.
a. How far did the object travel during this time?
b. What was the acceleration of the object?

Explanation:

b) v= u+at

v = final velocity = 15

u= initial velocity = 5

a= acceleration

t= time = 3

15= 5+3a

15-5=10= 3a

a=10/3 m/s²

a) v²-u²= 2as

s = displacememt

15²-5²= 2*(10/3)* s

225-25=200= 2*(10/3)*s

s= (200/200)*3= 3m
