a balloon of volume 100 m3 is filled with hot air of density 0.4 kgm-3. if the fabric of balloon weighs q6 kgf and equipment P is attached to it such that balloon is in the state of equilibrium. then weight of combined hot air and balloon is? weight of cold air displaced is? weight of hot air, balloon and equipment is?

Welcome dear,

● Answers with explaination -
Weight of hot air in balloon
= density × volume
= 100 × 0.4
= 40 kgf

Total weight of hot air & balloon
= 40 + 16
= 56 kgf

Weight of cold air displaced
= volume × density
= 100 × 1.3
= 130 kgf

I didn't get what do you mean by equipment here, so can't answer that part.

Hope this helps you...

Fabric of balloon weight =16Kgf

=16×10N

=160N

If the fabric of balloon weight =16kgf

Explanation :-

Total mass of water -

M=V×d

M=100×0.4

M=40 Kg

Mass of balloon fabric :-

M=16kg

Total weight of equipment =

W=(m+M)g

W=(40+16)×10

=560N

=56Kgf
