Given:

A bank gives Rs 35 interest on every 1000 deposited with it for a month.

To find :

The money deposited by Atul which gives interest of Rs 5250 in 3 months

Solution:

Let, the amount deposited = P

Bank gives interest on every Rs 1000 deposited with it for a month = Rs 35

Therefore, Interest amount on every Rs 1000 deposited with it for 3 month is, 35 × 3  = Rs 105

Interest on principle amount for three months is Rs 5250

\frac{105}{1000} × P = 5250

P = 5250 × \frac{1000}{105}

P = 50 × 1000

P = Rs 50,000

Final answer:

Atul deposit Rs 50,000 for 3 months in the bank so as to get an interest of Rs 5250
