A bar magnet has no marking to
indicate its poles. How would you find out
near which end is its north pole located ?​

Answer: We will have to conduct an activity for this.

Take a bar magnet and tie it with a rope. Mark Right and Left At the end of magnet and hold the rope in hand. If the Right side of the magnet point towards the north direction then it means that the right side of the magnet can be marked as N.

Take a bar magnet, whose poles are marked as N and S. Bring the North pole of this bar magnet near both the ends of the given bar magnet. The end of the given bar which will be repelled by the North pole of the magnet will be it's North pole.
