A basket contains 5 red roses and some white roses. If the probability of drawing a white Rose is double to that of red roses . Find the number of white Rose in the basket.

So probability of getting white roses be

                             =  (x - 5)/x  =  2(5/x) [∵GIven]

We know sum of all probabilities is 1

So

= (5+10)/x = 1

=  x = 15

so no of white roses = 15-5

                                  = 10
