Step-by-step explanation:

Average run for 31 innings = 28.3

Total run for 31 innings = 28.3×27 ( 4times not out)

= 764.1

New average = 30

New total will be =30×29

= 870

So the required next inning runs =870- 764.1

= 105.9

= 106

Solution :-

given that,

→ Initial total innings he played = 31

→ Average score = 28.3 runs

So,

→ Total runs player scored = Average * Total innings = 28.3 * 31 = 877.3 runs .

now, let us assume that, in next inning he scored x runs so that his new average becomes 30.6 .

then,

→ Total runs he scored now = (877.3 + x)

→ Total innings now = 31 + 1 = 32

→ Average = 30.6

therefore,

→ Average = Total runs / Total innings

→ 30.6 = (877.3 + x)/32

→ 30.6 * 32 = 877.3

→ 979.2 = (877.3 + x)

→ x = 979.2 - 877.3

→ x = 101.9 runs

→ x ≈ 102 runs (Ans.)
