a battery
of 12 V and internal resistance 0.6 ohm connected
to three resistors P,Qand R. Find the current in
each resistor
emf = 12 V
r=0.6ohm​

the effective resistance of circuit is

R = 0.6 + 1 + 4.6/(4+6)

R = 4 ohm

so, current in the circuit is = 12/4 = 3 A

current in r and P is 3 A.

voltage drop on battery = 3 * 0.6 = 1.8V

voltage drop on P = 3 * 1 = 3 V

so, voltage drop on Q = voltage drop on R

=> Iq * 4 = Ir * 6 = 12 - 1.8 - 3

=> Iq = 7.2/4 = 1.8 A

and => Ir = 7.2/6 = 1.2 A
