We want to find the valus Of resistance of the resistor

E = 10 V

r = 3 ohm

Current I = 0.5 A

R = ?

Now writing the equation

V = E - ir

10 - 0.5 (3)

V = 10 - 1.5 \\\\

V = 8.5 V

Ohm's law \\

It states that V α I

Ohm's law => V = IR

R = V/I

= 8.5 / 0.5

= 17 ohm

17 ohm is the resistance of the resistor
