they are found in prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells

70s and 80s ribosomes.

each with different sub-units.

70s=> 50s and 30s units.

80s=> 40s and 60s units.

( s = svedberg's constant )

( s is useful to directly find out the sedimantation rate )
