Let the capacity of the beaker = x liters
Portion filled with the water = 5x / 7
Required water to fill the beaker = 10 liters
Therefore,
x = 5x / 7 + 10
x = ( 5x + 70 ) / 7
7x = 5x + 70
7x - 5x = 70
2x = 70
x = 70 / 2
x = 35
Capacity of the beaker = x = 35 liters
