A beam of light is incident through the holes on one side of a box and emerges out through the holes on its opposite side is a convex lens.

Explanation:

  • When rays of lights parallel to each other as well as the principal axis comes from infinity passes through the concave lens, then they diverges back after passing through the lens following the law of refraction.
  • The incident rays passes through the lens which as a result gets refracted and meet at the point F i.e., focus on the left side of the lens.
  • Hence, the box contains a concave lens which is result for the emerging of the rays in such a manner.
