a bike covers a distance of 45 km in 5 litres of petrol and other bike b covers a distance of 84 km in 7 litres of petrol which bike should we purchase and why

Mileage of bike 1 = 45/5 = 9kmpl

Mileage of bike 2 = 84/7 = 12kmpl

As the Mileage of Bike 2 is greater we should prefer the second bike.
