LINEAR MOMENTUM = MASS x VELOCITY

As we know , linear momentum varies with direction :

hence, the final and initial momentum will vary .

  • INITIAL MOMENTUM : m x v

                                            = 0.3 x 2.5

                                            = 0.75 kgm/s

  • FINAL MOMENTUM = m x v

                                          = 0.3 x  (-2.4)

                                          = - 0.72kgm/s
