When the bird is flying horizontally at 1000m its vertical height does not changes ie, its height is not increasing

From equation of gravitational poetential energy,

PE = mgh

PE is directily proprtional to height

In the given case, the height is not increasing

Therefore, the PE also does not change

Answer:

Gravitational potential energy remains constant.

Explanation:

The gravitational potential energy is given by the formula -

P.E. = mgh

Since, the bird is flying horizontally, hence, there's no change in it's vertical height (h) from ground. Hence, the gravitational potential energy remains constant.
