A block of mass 2kg moving with velocity collides with a block of mass 3kg at rest after collision the block move together . Find the loss of K.E in the collision?

∆K.E. is given by
 \frac{1}{2} u {v}^{2}
where u is the reduced mass.
Thus the loss of KE becomes
 \frac{1}{2}  \times  \frac{5}{6} \times  {v }^{2}   \\  =  \frac{5 {v}^{2} }{12}
