Answer : Zero

Given : A block of mass m is moved over a distance s. An applied force F is directed perpendicularly to the block’s displacement

To find : work done by force on the block

Solution :

Here the work done by force on the block will be zero . This is so because in a case wherein the Applied force is perpendicular to the displacement then the work done is zero. For example you are carrying a load on your head and forming an angle of 90° with the ground means making a perpendicular to the surface . No matter how much long time you carry that the work done will be zero here .
