a block weighing 10 kg is at rest on a horizontal table the coefficient of friction between the block and table is 0.5.if a force acts down at 60 degrees from the horizontal ,how long can it be without causing the block to move

The maximum frictional force acting will be μmg=6N

But pseudo force acting on the body is ma=1×5=5N

Since pseudo force < frictional force

the frictional force acting is only 5N
