Let the speed of the boat be 'x'.
Using Time=Distance/Speed,
6=10/(x+1.5)+5/(x-1.5)
6=(10x-15+5x+7.5)/x^2-2.25
=>6x^2-15x-6=0.
Upon solving,
x=12 kmph.

Using Time=Distance/Speed,
6=10/(x+1.5)+5/(x-1.5)
6=(10x-15+5x+7.5)/x^2-2.25
=>6x^2-15x-6=0.
Upon solving,
