Given,

The mass of the boat = 290000 kilograms

The amount of resultant force = 50 Kilo Newton = 50000 Newton (SI unit value)

The velocity of water = 0

To find,

The amount of acceleration of the boat.

Solution,

To solve this mathematical problem,we have to use the mathematical relationship between the masa, force and acceleration of a body.

The mathematical relationship is,

Force = Mass × Acceleration

Let,

Force = f

Mass = m

Acceleration = a

So,

f = ma

50000 = 290000 × a

a = 50000/290000

a = 0.172 (approx value)

m

Hence,the acceleration of the boat is approximately 0.172 m/.
