A boat is moving through the water, at the rate of 10m/s. Its engine have a power of 50 kilowatts. Find the
force which must be overcome in moving through water.
(A) 1250 N
(B) 2500 N
(C) 5000N
(D) 10000 N​

Power=work/time

Power=force×displacement /time

 \frac{displacement}{time}  = velocity

....we are given velocity as 10m/s.....

Work is in Watt

So work is 50×1000=50000

according to question:

power =  \frac{force}{velocity}

50000=force×10

force=5000newton
