your answer is ----

Let, Vb =>8km/h and VR=> 10km/h

Let, velocity of river is Vr

now,

| Vb + Vr | = VR

=> √ 8^2 + Vr^2 + 2 VbVr cos∅ = 10

=> 64 + Vr^2 + 2VbVr cos 90° = 100

=> Vr^2 = 100-64 = 36

=> Vr = √36 = 6 km/h

hence , velocity of river is 6km/h
