The answer is

1/ λ = 1/ λ1 + 1/ λ2

Explanation:

As the proton emit wavelength in the form of 1/ λ and two protons are emitting

so wavelength will be

λ1 and λ2

as 1/ λ1  and 1/ λ2 respectively.

Given : A body absorbs a photon of wavelength λ and its emit two photons of wavelength λ₁ and λ₂.

To find : The relation between λ, λ₁ and λ₂

solution : according to law conservation of energy,

initial energy = final energy

⇒energy absorbed by a body = energies of two emitted photons.

[ from quantum's theory , E = hc/λ ]

⇒hc/λ = hc/λ₁ + hc/λ₂

⇒1/λ = 1/λ₁ + 1/λ₂

⇒λ = λ₁λ₂/(λ₁ + λ₂)

Therefore the correct relation would be λ₁λ₂/(λ₁ + λ₂)
