A body covers a distance of 20 km in 4 hours. Calculate the speed in kilomter per houre and meter per second.​

According to the question,

Distance is 40 km and time is 4 hours

 \therefore \: speed =  \frac{distance}{time}  \\  \\  = speed =  \frac{  \cancel{20} \:  \:  ^{5} }{ \cancel{4}} \\  \\  = 5km \hr

It is 5 km/hr

Now to convert it to m/s we need to divide the speed with

 \frac{5}{18} \\  \\

So

5 \times  \frac{5}{18} \\  \\  =  \frac{25}{18} \\  \\  = 1.38m \s

It is 1.38m/s
