distance is 2 km and speed is 5 km/h. then time T1 = distance/speed , T1 = 2/5 , T1= 0.4 hr, and then return back with speed 4 km/h then Time T2= 2/4 , T2= 0.5 hr and whole time is T1+T2, 0.4+0.5=T ,T= 0.9 hr and in sec 0.9×60×60=3240 sec

A body covers a distance of 2 km at a speed of 5 km/hr while going from his home and then returns back to his home using the same pathway with a speed of 4 km/hr.

We have to find the time taken by the body in hours and seconds.

Total distance covered by body = Distance covered from home to market + Distance covered from market to home

= (2 + 2) km

= 4 km

Now,

Time = Distance/Speed

For Case 1) i.e. from home to market:

t1 = 2/5 hr.

For Case 1) i.e. from market to home:

t2 = 2/4 hr.

Total time taken by body = t1 + t2

= 2/5 + 2/4

= (8 + 10)/20

= 18/20

= 0.9 hours

Therefore, the time taken by the body is 0.9 hours.

In seconds:

From above calculations time taken by the body is 0.9 hours. To convert hours into seconds. Multiply the given value by 3600.

Time = 0.9 × 3600 = 3240 sec

Therefore, the time taken by the body is 3240 seconds.
