Given :

Initial velocity =u=0 m/s

final velocity =v m/s

Potential energy is transformed to Kinetic energy

P.E=K.E

As we know that P.E=U

K.E=1/2 mv²

U=1/2mv²

so m=2U/v²

∴mass of the body is 2U/v²
