Let t= the time interval

If s1= the distance covered in time t/2

S1=0*t/2+1/2g(t/2)^2=1/8gt^2......(1)

Let s= the distance covered in t second from the beginning

S=0*t+1/2*gt^2 or. S=1/2gt^2

If s2= distance covered in last t/2 second.

S2=s-s1= 1/2gt^2-1/8gt^2

Or s2= 3/8gt^2.....(2)

From equation (1) and (2), s1/s2=1/8gt^2*8/3gt^2

Or s1/s2=1/3.
