Answer:

4 times

Explanation:

A body freely falling from the rest has a velocity v after it falls through a height h.the distance it has to fall down its velocity to become double is

Initial Velocity = 0   ( rest)

acceleration =  g

V² - U² = 2aS

=> v² - 0 = 2gh

=> h = v²/2g

V² - U² = 2aS

=> (2v)² - 0 = 2g(h₂)

=> h₂ = 4v²/2g

=> h₂ = 4h

4h - h = 3h  ( more to fall)

It has to fall 4 times the height to have double velocity from initial
