Given :
- Initial Velocity = 20 m/s
- Acceleration = 0.2 m/s²
- Time = 5 seconds
To Find :
- Final Velocity = ?
Solution :
★ By using first equation of motion we get :
- v = u + at
[ Where, v is the final velocity , u is the initial velocity, t is the time and a is the acceleration of the body ]
★ Substituting the given values in above formula we get :
→ v = u + at
→ v = 20 + 0.2 × 5
→ v = 20 + 1
→ v = 21 m/s
- Hence, the final velocity of the body is 21 m/s.
★ More knowledge ★
- First equation of motion is valid when the object is moving with constant acceleration. This equation gives relation between velocity and time.
★ Three kinematical equations of motion :
- v = u + at
- s = ut + ½at²
- v² - u² = 2as
