given : actual weight = 50N
apparent weight = 20N
buoyant force = actual weight- apparent weight
= 50N- 20N
= 30N

A simple arithmetic!! The buoyant force which makes the body to feel lighter in weight is 30N(50N–20N) whose vector is just opposite in direction to the body's weight.
