Answer:

(1) 19m

(2) 75m

(actually it's better to do (2) first coz the answer in (2) is used in (1))

Explanation:

s = ut + \frac{1}{2}at^{2}

(2)

Displacement in the 5 seconds

= ut + \frac{1}{2} at^{2} \\\\= (10)(5) + \frac{1}{2} (2)(5)^{2} \\\\= 75m

(1)

Displacement in the 5th second

= Displacement in 5 seconds - Displacement in 4 seconds

= 75 - [(10)(4) + \frac{1}{2} (2)(4)^{2} ]\\\\= 75 - 56\\\\= 19m
