according to archimedes principles when a body is fully or partially immersed in a fluid at the rest it appears to lose weight . In order word

Apparent weight W=W-fb

where fb is buoyant force which equal

to weight and displaced liquid

Apparent weight 10N = 4N -fb

fb=6N

or the weight of the liquid displaced by the object 6N
