Work done is force *displacement

So it is 2x(x2-x1).

Just this much

Answer:(x2)²- (x1)²

Explanation:

Work done= \int\limits_{x1}^(x2) F dx

                 =\int\limits_{x1}^(x2) 2x dx

                 = 2 [x²/2]|_(x1)^(x2)

                 = (x2)²- (x1)²
