Initial speed of the body (u) = 20 m/s

Acceleration of the body (a) = 4 m/s^2

Since, the acceleration and the velocity are in the same direction. Hence, the velocity will increase due to acceleration.

Time for which the body is accelerated (t) = 2 seconds

Let the final velocity be v.

Using the first equation of motion:

v = u + at

v = 20 + 4 Γ— 2

v = 28 m/s

Hence, the final speed of the body is 28 m/s
