Hey there

• Given :-

Initial velocity , u = 12 m/s

final velocity , v = 0 m/s { it comes to rest }

time , t = 18 m or = 18 × 60 s

we know ,

 \boxed{ \bf v = u + at => a = \frac{v - u}{t} }
putting the value we obtain

 \bf a = \frac{ - 12}{18 \times 60} = > a = \frac{ -1}{3 \times30 } = \frac{ - 1}{90} = - 0.01 {ms}^{ - 2}

Hope this helps you ☺
