Given : A body is released from the top of a tower of height 20m.

To Find : Where will be the ball after 1 sec of start  

Solution:

S = ut + (1/2)at²

u = 0   released

t = 1 secs

a =  g = 10 m/s²

S = 0  + (1/2)(10)(1)²

S = 5 m

Body will be 5 m below  20 m

Hence 20-5  = 15 m

body will be at 15 m height after 1 sec
