Let's first talk about mass -

Mass is the quantity of matter possessed by a body.

It remains same throughout the universe.

So, if we bring a body from polar region to equator, it won't be having any effect on mass as mass remains constant.

Now, let's see Weight -

Weight is the force with which a body is attracted towards the centre of the earth.

It becomes zero at the centre of te earth.

So, if we bring a body from polar region to equator, the weight of the body will change.

Also, weight depends upon acceleration due to gravity and we know that, the value of 'g' is more at poles and less at the equator.

Therefore, the weight of the body is more at poles and less at the equator.
