A body is thrown vertically upwards with a velocity of 50 m/s, A) What will be its velocity at its highest point? B) How high will the body rise? C) How much time would it take to reach the highest point?

B)127.55 m  is the height upto which body will rise .

C) 5.10 s is the time it will take to reach highest point .

Explanation:

for highest point , v = 0 ,

g = 9.8

v² - u² = 2gs

taking upwards as positive ,

v= 0 , u = 50

s = u² / 2g

 = 50*50 / (2 *9.8)

 = 127.55 m

V= u+gt

v= 0 ,

t = u/g

= 50/9.8

 5.10 sec
