finale velocity (v)=0

maximum height=s

u^2 - v^2 = 2gs

u^2 - 0=2 gs

s=u^2/2g

Answer:

U^2/2g

by law of kinematics

v^2-u^2 = 2as

-u^2 = -2gh

Thus we get u^2/2g
