in 2 revolutions distance travelled =20 ×2

=40 cm

in half revolution distance travelled= 20 × 1/2

=10cm

total distance travelled in 2 and1/2 hours =40+10= 50 cm

Answer :

The distance travelled in 1 round = 20 cm.

Hence, the Distance travelled km 2 rounds = 20*2 = 40 cm.

Also, the distance travelled in half round = 20/2 = 10 cm.

So, the total distance travelled in 2 and half rounds/revolutions is 50 cm.

Additional Information :

  • Distance is equal to or greater than the displacement.

  • Distance is the length of the path travelled by the body.

  • Displacement is the shortest distance between the initial and final position of the body.

  • Distance is a scalar quantity and displacement is a vector quantity.

  • Speed is the distance travelled per unit time.

  • Velocity is the displacement per unit time.

  • SI unit of distance and displacement is m.

  • SI unit of speed and velocity is m/s.
