Radius of circular path = 20cm

One revolution will be equal to the circumference of the circle.

Distance covered in one revolution = 2πr

= 2 x 22/7 x 20

= 125.7 cm

Distance covered in 2.5 revolutions = 2.5 x 125.7

=314.25 cm

Displacement covered in 2.5 revolution = 2r

= 2  ×  20

= 40 cm

Explanation:

Displacement is the shortest distance travelled from the initial point to the final point. After half revolution the displacement is the length of the diameter which is equal to 2r. Hence the displacement is 2r.

Displacement is the shortest distance between initial and final position.

Radius = 20 cm

Diameter = 2 x 20 = 40 cm

Displacement = 40 cm
